Born in Bogor on 11 September, 1939 of Indonesian (Manado), Chinese and German descent, Pastor HBL Mantiri was raised in a family strongly committed to the Assemblies of God Church and his father-in-law Pastor Lie Giok Keh was the founding father of GSJA Bethlehem Church in 1964. Pastor Mantiri’s father was one of the deacons for many years.
Incidentally GSJA Bethlehem Bogor is one of the largest GSJA church in Indonesia. Pastor Mantiri has served as Senior Pastor’s Advisor at GSJA Bethlehem Church in Bogor for 8 years. Coming from a military background, Pastor Mantiri served the country of Indonesia from 1963 to 1995 and is now a retired Lieutenant General/Army. He was also the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore from 1996 to 1999; Chairman of Full Gospel Businessmen’s International Fellowship from 1998 to 2008; National Director of World Teach Indonesia; Member of the Indonesian Evangelical Churches and Institutions of Indonesia; Chairman of the Consultative Committee of the Indonesian Christian Community. Pastor Mantiri received his “Honoris Causa Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Transformation” from Harvest International Theological Seminary, Karawaci, Indonesia on 14 August 2004.
Pastor Mantiri was the interim Senior Pastor of International House of Praise, Bellagio (I-HOPE Bellagio) from 2011 during the transition period and was formally elected in 2013 when the church achieved its PEMBINA status. It is Pastor Mantiri’s desire to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done in people’s lives both individually and as a family.
Pastor Lionel, has been the Lead Pastor of I-HOPE Bellagio since July 2016 and has served in Perth Australia, where he received his Theological training (Bachelors in Ministry) and first ordination as an Associate Pastor. Pastor Lionel, was previously from the market place and has worked in areas of property investment, banking & finance, as well as running his own import-export company, dealing in Aviation and Marine equipment. Born and raised in Singapore, Pastor Lionel has also served 2 years in the Singapore Armed Forces, as part of National Service.
Pastor Lionel's emphasis focuses on the two great commandments; Loving God and loving people. Having served as an Intercessor in lay ministry, Pastor Lionel, has a keen desire for others to pursue after the presence of God in their lives and to be lovers of God's Word, believing that we need to hear and understand God's Word so that our faith can arise and as a result, we can be strengthen in our walk with the Lord.
Pastor Lionel is married to Annie and they have two sons; Zakhary and Alex Scott.
